This was the picture of the front sign this Thursday, March 13. Some might say this is a sad picture seeing snow still residing in our midst. The ground being covered and cold air blowing through. Others would say what a beautiful view of the fresh coating of snow moiturizing the earth and the lush green which shall follow. However whatever place you maybe this is the first week of Lent for us all.
Now I did venture outdoors a couple of times in the midst of the blizzard which left this covering. The winds were so strong and the flakes so blinding one could barely see across the street. My neighbors as they should be were inside as the raod was untravelled and unplowed. The drifts were constantly being shaped and reshaped throughout the afternoon and evening. And then this morning came and the sun sprung forth.
Looking at the sign in front of church, one might pressume there was a gentle snow have come through. This was not so, just as the expreinces for so many during this time lent will vary. I wish for each of you this day the solitude of knowing the sun shines and God journeys with us in time or storm or rest.
